ABOUT FAITH RETREATS
Faith Retreats began in 2016, and since then has worked with more than 60 schools across Western Australia.
The Faith Retreats team is comprised of a group of young adults who are passionate about and experienced in ministry. The team is led by Karl Brown (B.A. Theol, G.Dip Theol., M.Ldrshp (Monash), MAICD), who has been involved in school-based faith development for 20 years, and is part of the academic staff at the University of Notre Dame Australia, working in numerous theology units, including Sacraments of Initiation, Old & New Testament theology, Christology, and many others. He has also worked at the Catholic Institute of Western Australia (ECU Mt. Lawley Campus), lecturing in Catholic Prayer & Morality. Karl is a sessional presenter on behalf of the Catechist Services Team at the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia, and is also the course coordinator for the graduate unit BUS5002: Leadership and Management in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition for the School of Business at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle. Finally, Karl is very active in the area of organisational leadership and strategic governance, serving on the board of Bloomhouse Projects (a new performing arts organisation, based in Perth) and the Lord’s Taverners, a worldwide charitable fund-raising organisation focused on levelling the playing field for members of our community that have inequitable access to sport and related endeavours. Karl is also currently serving as the President of the Perth Jazz Society.
